About Tropo

Tropo is an AI research project and an operating system for agentic builders. We exist to help knowledge workers navigate the shift to human-AI work — not by slowing it down, but by building the methods, tools, and education that make it navigable, and that keep you in control of your agents, your knowledge, and your work.
Our mission
As AI drives the cost of execution toward zero, the scarce resource stops being intelligence and becomes verification — a person's capacity to check that work was done right, and to keep judgment and meaning in human hands. The future we're building for is the one where that capacity scales alongside the agents, so people stay in charge. The one we're building against is the one where activity rises while real human agency quietly decays.
So Tropo gives you a system you own completely: plain markdown in a folder, no server, no lock-in. You set the constraints, your agents do the work inside them, and you remain the one who verifies and decides. And the method is the product — we build Tropo using Tropo, in the open, and we teach what we learn through The Agentic Builders.
Built to drop in anywhere
We've built Tropo carefully so it drops into the way you already work. It isn't a destination you migrate to — it's a layer you add. Point it at a work project, a plain folder on your machine, or a learning experience you're working through, and it turbocharges the agentic work happening there. Your agents gain governance, memory, and a shared workspace; you keep your files, your models, and your agency. Because it's just markdown in a folder, it travels with you — across tools, across models, even across jobs.

Mike Maziarz is a founder and builder of companies. He is currently Chief Marketing Officer of MindBridge AI, a category leader in autonomous financial oversight. He is the founder of Tropo, an AI research project with a mission to educate, tool, and support knowledge workers as we all navigate a future of human-agentic work. Tropo is an operating system for agentic builders. The Tropo Studio ships with agent governance, agent lifecycle management, work management, and content publishing. Its design principle is extreme work portability across agentic harnesses, so humans keep their own agency across major platforms.
